CSK & DC register wins

A typical Sehwag knock was not enough to stop the CSK to register their second successive win, whereas a late charge by Irfan Pathan, who tried to replicate the heroics of his brother in the other afternoon fell short by a whisker to take home KXIP.

For CSK, Hayden unleashed the power of his mongoose, smashing a 43-ball 93, which in effect swayed the match towards his team beyond doubt. Then Raina, in absence of Dhoni, played a captain's knock on debut and completed the formalities.

This was the second sucessive defeat for Delhi and they certainly have to regroup fast.

For KXIP, it was yet again a familiar result, as despite of having big names in their side, they have not really got going. Yuvraj Singh, the Indian King of T-20s have shown indifferent form and so has Sangakkara. They too have to reverse the process soon.

Irfan Pathan's batting abilities were never in doubt, he was dropped from the national side more due to his bowling. He still needs to put up a better show in bowling and a bit more consisstncy in batting in order to renew his claim for a recall. A session with the KKR bowling coach Wasim Akram would certainly help.

Till now its Rajastan Royals and KXIP, who look to be the weakest of the lot.
