Uthappa powers RCB to big win over CSK

As law of average finally caught up with Kallis, and other batsmen struggled to break the shackles, RCB found their saviour in Uthappa, who blasted a 38 ball 68 to propell their total to 171, which in the end proved too much for the CSK. They were beaten by 36 runs, which in effect handed back the top position in the table to the RCB.(Mind you, the top three in the table qualify for the Champions' leauge).Uthappa's knock contained 3 fours and 6 sixes, almost half of which came in the 19th over bowled by Balaji. This knock, along with his other knocks  in this IPL edition, must have put Uthappa in the national selectors radar, when they sit for the T20 squad selection for the world cup.

In the bowling department, Anil Kumble, the old war horse, bowled tight and conceded only 15 runs in his four overs picking up the wicket of Vijay. Hayden's mongoose threaten briefly before he was run out, Suresh Raina hit a six before succumbing as he tried to maintain the ever increasing asking rate, and it was downhill there on for the CSK. They certainly are missing Dhoni's cool head and destructive batting abilities here.

Dhoni is slated to return for CSK's next encounter, and that would certianly bring back the confidence in their ranks.
