Deccan Hang on with win over CSK

It was yet another do or die match for the Deccans and they responded well. They have only themselves to blame to be in such a precarious situatiion and on Saturday afternoon, they yet again pulled their weight together and ensured that they are not knocked out of the tourney.

While on the field, they bowled and fielded well, Ryan Harris capturing 3 wickets, and restricted CSK to just 138 runs. From Chennai, Only Suresh Raina(52) could put up a decent contribution. Murli Vijay, their star off late, could manage only 23 before he ran himself out, and the CSK continued to struggle right through their innings.

Deccan Chargers, when they came out to bat, started well with Manish Mishra(21) hitting some lusty blows, and Suman(55), continuing his good form scored another half century. Towards the end Symonds stood firm to score a characteristic 27 not out and guided them home.

CSK at the end of this day are tied with Deccan and KKR, which means all these three teams now have equal chances to make it to the semi finals.
