Catching up: Mumbai vs Delhi Dare Devils & KKR vs CSK

I had missed parts of the above two matches, hence could not update on time. Now here we are doing some catching up act.

The first match for the day would be remembered for the Kieron Pollard act that left the Delhi Dare Devils gasping for breath. They were running a bit off coulor after their recent slump in form, and this knock from Pollard was like adding insult to injury. He raced to a 13 ball 45 as only he can, with 2 fours and 5 sixes, which took his team total to 183 in 20 overs.

It left Delhi in such a shock that they struggled throughout their innings. Only Warner looked as if he believed they could still manage to win the match, but when he fell for a 15 ball 31, it was all but confirmed that Delhi would not get home. More so, as the Gambhir-Sehwag duo continue to run off color, right through. They were back with the score 75 on board and their team managed another 69 after that, handing Mumbai a victory margin of 39 runs.

Looks like, Delhi are trying their best to run into trouble in days to come.

In the second match, Kolkata could not handle the pressure of a knock out kind of match and started with a disaster by losing 4 wickets within 19 run on the board. It took a brave effort from Angelo Mathews(45) with a bit of support from Manoj Tiwary(27) to put up a total of 139.

This was never going to be enough, and taking the opportunity to improve the net run rate the CSK over hauled the total in only 13.3 overs. Raina with a 39 ball 78 lead the charge.

With this huge victory, the CSK took the second place in the points table.
