Even though it' a few matches too late for the KXIP, still they have a point to prove. They are a talented side and before bowing out, they just want to show what they are capable of, by beating the best of them in the tourney. Earlier, it was KKR, then Mumbai Indians and this afternoon, they chose Delhi Dare Devils for the treatment.
Irfan Pathan picked up three wickets, Piyush Chawla two and Theron, Ablish and Yuvraj Singh picked up one wicket each. Added to that Gambhir and Warner were run out, and Delhi had absolutely no momentum in the innings. They struggled all the way before being all out for 111 in 19.4 overs.
In reply, KXIP overhauled the total, losing just three wickets. Mahela(38) and Sangakkara(33) were the main scorer for them.
Even though the KXIP have no interest left in the event, they are making sure that we never have a dull moment watching them play, or are they? If they keep on winning in such one-sided manner, the matches may still tun boring.
